I'm currently the STEM Manager at the Afterschool Alliance, a national non-profit working to ensure that all kids have access to high-quality afterschool programs. As an advocacy and research organization, we've been doing lots of work about the best ways to message out-of-school time STEM to diverse audiences, and assessing the current state of STEM in afterschool through national research. We support afterschool practitioners in offering STEM through webinars, issue briefs, toolkits and more, bringing them the latest research, innovative program models, and promising practices. Before joining the Afterschool Alliance, I worked at a children's science center developing programs and curriculum. I'm an engineer by training, majoring in Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan.
