Mr. Dake is currently President of the International Technology and Engineering Educator Association’s Council of Supervision and Leadership, a Technology and Engineering standards body for schools throughout the United States. In California, he served terms as a fellow with the California Science Project at UC Davis and California State University-Sacramento and as a Nexus participant, a technology group established by the UC Office of the President. Previously, he served as a telecommunications mentor for the Telemation Project, California Technology Assistance Program [CTAP] consultant/trainer/test coordinator, and as a CTAP2/TechSets administrator. As a BITREC [Business and Information Technology Regional Consortium] leader, he was awarded Teacher of the Year, provided technology trainings, and was instrumental in building articulations with Los Rios Community Colleges and California State University-Sacramento. He was part of Florin (CA) HS as it received a “One of Four – Closing the Achievement Gap” award in 2004 for closing the achievement gap between minorities and whites. He has served as a Cubmaster, deacon, and volunteer for various organizations.
