Research Assistant, Afterschool Alliance
Washington, DC
I'm currently the Research Assistant at the Afterschool Alliance, a national non-profit working to ensure all kids have access to high-quality afterschool programs. As a member of both the STEM and Research teams, a lot of my work is focused on assessing the current state of out-of-school time education and STEM education. With the STEM team, my work extends to field development. I work to support practitioners, sharing resource and best-practice via tool kits, webinars, issue briefs, conferences and more. Before joining the Afterschool Alliance team, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Biology and my Master's degree in Geology at the University of Illinois. While working on my Master's degree, I was involved in a variety of informal STEM education activities ranging from K-undergraduate.
