Amy is currently completing a Ph.D. in environmental engineering at Vanderbilt University and is a Mirzayan Fellow at the National Academy of Engineering. She holds an M.S. in environmental engineering and a B.E. in civil engineering, both from Vanderbilt. Her graduate research focuses on reducing negative water quality impacts while optimizing hydropower dam operations through integration of high-fidelity simulation models within decision support tools. Prior to graduate school, Amy worked on water resources projects as an intern at the engineering consulting firm CDM. For fun, she enjoys wheel throwing ceramic pottery, rooting for the Nashville Predators and Vanderbilt Commodores, and going to concerts. She is enthusiastic about participating in engineering and science outreach and education programs.
