The Engineering Place at North Carolina State University provides customized workshops for schools, districts, RESAs, etc. in the area of using engineering as a part of integrated STEM.
An introductory workshop could consist of what engineering is and how it is applicable to the Standard Course of Study in grades K-12 for any size group (up to 75) and any mix of grade levels. Workshops are all hands-on and include teaching methods for including engineering in the classroom experience.
The Engineering Place offers a number of different programs, as well as participates in community programs, that generate interest in and excitement about engineering. This page provides an overview of the different programs. For details about workshops, scroll down to nearly the bottom of the page.
