A group of young girls design "houses" that must withstand a "earthquake" in this video from Techbridge.
This six-minute video looks at a program where female engineers lead a group of girls through an engineering desgin challenge. It demonstrates the steps of the design process and includes brief interviews with the women serving as role models for the effort.
Techbridge launched in 2000 as a program to expand the academic and career options for girls in science, technology, and engineering. They have worked with over 4,000 girls in grades 5-12 through after-school and summer programs in the San Francisco Bay area.
