Population Growth Mathematical Modeling

How can we predict “true” population growth in the lab and the real world? This lesson plan uses modeling to explain to the student the connection between population growth and resources. Logistical and exponential growth patterns are also explained in this motivating mathematical lesson.

Mr. Paul Andersen of Bozeman High School was correct when he stated " As the world population increases, it will require more natural resources.." But how will beginning HS students know this? To find an answer, one must first understand the question poised.
