Power, Work and the Water Wheel
I loved this activity from the first time I saw it at our district professional development workshop. Students were all successful by their second iteration even though there were some superior designs. I really liked the use of the predetermined water and the funnel for distribution. Previously I had my sink running for 40 minutes which was not a good use of water. The only modification we made was a re-design where students would have dry notecards and new tape. An awesome activity.
