Technical specialization is optoelectronics, hIgh power & high speed semiconductor lasers. Left industry in ~2004 to focus on STEM education. Started at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in 2006, where there has been a long time focus on integrative-STEM (i-STEM) teacher preparation. Currently Chair of the Dept. of Technological Studies, that supports two undergraduate i-STEM programs and two graduate i-STEM programs. Director of the Center for Excellence in STEM Education, whose mission includes outreach, curriculum development and professional development. Member of ASEE, ITEEA, IEEE. Member Executive Committee, PK-12 Division ASEE. Associate Editor IEEE Transactions of Education. Member of NAE's Committee of Guiding Implementation of K-12 Engineering Education in the United States.
